The only two valid luggage choices for short trips are carry-on roller bags and carry-on shoulder bags, and before I tested Aer's first travel bag way back in 2016, I would never have considered counting myself in the latter group.

Aer marries exteriors so minimalist they disappear with feature-packed internals like vented shoe compartments, lockable zippers, handles on all sides, luggage pass throughs, laptop sleeves, expandable external bottle and umbrella storage (and the list keeps going). In spite of their slim profiles and because of their multi-occasion design, each bag also holds far more than you think it will, with Aer's gym bags easily standing in as weekenders, for example.

Aer's work bags look great, but those who need to put leather front and center should check out Daniel's, and while Aer's bags do offer lots of protection, photographers will want to check out Peak Design's bags.
